A Calcium flux of neutrophils and monocytes stimulated with 10 and 100 μmol/L of niacin or 1 mmol/L of BHBA. Both 10 and 100 μmol/L of niacin increased calcium flux relative to the control (P < 0.01). BHBA also increased calcium flux relative to the control (P < 0.01). B HCAR2 protein expression on bovine monocytes with and without siRNA knockdown. siRNA reduced HCAR2 protein expression by 36% (P = 0.03).
